A kit of readily assembled and demountable transformer components which allow a wide range of investigations into transformer principles, including inductors and electromagnets. The set comprises: C shaped permeable core and closing core, which can be assembled on the stand and closed via the two clamps. The kit also includes two pole pieces and a set of four coils. The tapped coil outputs provide many step up or step down ratios.  One coil is fi tted with a mains cable so that an external ac. power supply is not required.

• 6000 turns, 350 ohm, max current 0.2A, tapped at 2000 turns.
• 600 turns max current 2.5A provided with mains power supply cable.
• 1200 turns, 12.5 ohms max current1.25A, tapped at 400 and 800 turns.
• 72 turns, max current 12A, tapped at 6, 30, 54 and 66 turns
