This new apparatus features a 16.5cm aluminium dome and is driven by a high quality motor concealed in a sturdy base. The base has rubber mounts for firm location on the work surface. A 250KV charge can be developed with a corresponding 7cm spark discharge. The metal surfaces are finished to a high quality.
The belt is completely enclosed in a transparent tower which provides safety yet still allowing workings to be seen.
An accessory kit is also supplied which includes a head of horse hair, Faraday pails (one can be mounted on the base), neon bulb, ions in motion simulator and electrostatic discharge unit.
