This kit can be used as a stand-alone resource for investigation of simple circuits (series and parallel, circuit diagrams and symbols, switches: push to make or break, on/off, reversing, AND/OR circuits).  To realise its full potential, use it with a Mechanisms Kit to provide practical experience of: using electrical switches to control devices, and interconnecting mechanical and electrical systems.  Suitable for a group of 2 to 3 students.  Requires a 6V power supply.
