Compound Word Chains
This self-checking game encourages the recognition and practice of familiar compound words. Players join individual word cards together to form compound word chains.

Make this into a whole class game: each group has 6 prefix tiles and 6 suffix tiles. Choose a root word tile and write it on the board. Ask each group in turn if they can use their tiles to make a new word.
