Alphabet Letter Bags
Pack of 26 individual tactile bags ( 31 x 30cm) each marked with a letter of the alphabet (upper and lower case). Teach children to recognise letters by placing objects beginning with the letter in a bag. Alternatively, use in "guess the object" games.
a. Give children a selection of objects and bags and ask them to place each object in the correct bag. For more confident children, place objects in the wrong bags and ask them to sort them out.
b. Give pairs of children a bag and picture cards beginning with the same sound. Provide blank cards and ask children to write the names of objects pictured. Next day. mix up the label and picture cards and ask the class to sort them into correct bags.
