Listen to the tape and guess the familiar household sounds. Build your house and be the first to get the key to the door. Age: 3 to 6. Players: 2-4
Although children are born able to hear, they have to learn to listen and attend. The sounds, and especially the pauses between sounds, and especially the pauses between sounds, in these games will hone their listening and attention skills. Identifying the sounds demands their attention. Let the children listen to the sounds before playing the game to attune their ears to them.
