Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions cover your rights and obligations in relations to all offers, quotations and sales of computers hardware, software, documentation, peripherals, manipulables and related services by Sherston Ltd. to any purchaser or potential purchaser (Purchaser).

Returns Policy

At Sherston Ltd, we want you to be 100% satisfied every time you buy from us. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items, so below is our returns policy and money back guarantee.

Not 100% Satisfied With Your Purchase? – 30 Day Money Back Guarantee

Any product can be returned, for whatever reason, for a refund of the cost of the product as long as the product is returned in its original condition and in its original box, with all warranty cards, licences, manuals and accessories. To receive the refund, the product must be received by our Returns Department in its original condition and have been sent to us within 30 days of your receipt of the goods at the address shown below.

Please note that we reserve the right to refuse returns of video, DVD, audio, computer peripheral and software products where the item has been unsealed and we will consequently be unable to resell.

Defective or Incorrectly Shipped Items

You will be fully refunded, including return of the delivery costs for the UK and proof of posting for Europe, for any product which is damaged, faulty or incorrectly shipped or any circumstance that is in our error.

In the case of a defective product, please provide a full description of the fault, quote your unique Returns Authorisation number and return the defective item in its original box, with all warranty cards, licences, manuals and accessories to the above address. For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service.

Wrong Delivery Address Input
If you provide us with a wrong delivery address and your goods are signed for by another party, then Sherston cannot be held responsible for any loss you incur as a result.

They will provide you with a Returns Authorisation Number. Please enclose a note giving the reason for the return and quote your unique Returns Authorisation Number, wrap the package securely and send the package to the address below.

Licence Title (“Software”):

• Planet Sherston Subscription Site Licence
• Planet Sherston Plus Subscription Site Licence

Grant of Rights: Sherston Software Ltd (the licensed distributor for the software) hereby grants a non-exclusive Licence as described in this Agreement to use the Software by all teachers and students currently employed or attending your Institute.

The Licensee shall not
(ii) issue new logins or share existing logins to the software to individuals that are not currently teachers or students of the institute
(ii) otherwise distribute access in ways not in accordance with this licence

Proprietary Right: The Software is proprietary information in which Sherston Software Limited, its licensed distributor, claims the right to enforce trade secret rights on behalf of the authors of the Software. The Software is protected by copyright laws, and no unauthorized copying or distribution of, or other act with respect to the Software is allowed that would violate those laws. The Licensee may not modify, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software and may not deliver copies to, or sell, rent, lease or sub-licence the Software to, anyone else.

Sherston Software Limited reserves the right to amend the features provided for the software package at any time that is associated with your account.

Sherston Software Limited will regularly review any aspect of the website that are provided free of charge and reserves the right to start applying a fee for access and usage.

Fair Use: Sherston Software Limited Fair Use Policy is designed to make sure that your subscription service is fast and reliable whenever you use it. If you regularly use the service inappropriately during peak hours, and we believe this is unfairly affecting other customers' use of the service we will write to advise you so. We will provide advice on how to reduce bandwidth usage, as well as suggesting alternative subscription packages that may be more appropriate.

If you continue to use your service inappropriately we reserve the right to manage your usage during peak times (which could result in reduced service speeds) or to end your agreement with us, giving you notice before doing so.

Limited Warranty: Sherston Software Limited warrants that any storage media or paper based support material supplied to support or deliver the Software will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 90 days after the date of original purchase. If a defect occurs during the 90-day period, you may return the media to Sherston Software Limited for a free replacement. Any replacement media will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or 30 days, whichever is the greatest.

Sherston Software Limited disclaims all other warranties, either expressed or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with respect to the product. This limited warranty gives you certain legal rights. You may have others, which may vary in your local area.

In no event will Sherston Software Limited be liable to you for damages, whether based on contract, tort, warranty or other legal or equitable grounds, including any loss of profits, cost savings or other incidental or consequential damages arising out of your use or inability to use the Software, even if Sherston Software Limited or an authorized representative of Sherston Software Limited has been advised of the possibility of such damage. Sherston Software Limited does not warranty that the Software will meet your requirements or that the operation of the Software will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Term: This agreement is effective until terminated. Licensee may terminate it by cancelling the subscription in writing that it has done so, or allowing the subscription to lapse passed the expiry date. This agreement will also terminate if the Licensee fails to comply with any term or condition of this agreement. The Licensee agrees, upon such termination, also to destroy all additional copies of the program and documentation.

Delivery:  All orders will ordinarily be delivered within 3 working days. 

Privacy:  We do not store credit card details on our system, credit card verification and authorisation is undertaken by a third party.
